 Yeungnam Interfacer(version 0.93.  Build 2)

1. General Information.

  • This software requires no coding except host connection in instrument's interfaces. If you made host connection protocol(order and result text file handling, SQL and stored procedures) once, you can reuse it at other instrument or instrument interface resetting.( e.g... additional tests). So you save time and can establish early application to working fields..... In SQL and stored procedures, I have tested it with Oracle 8i.
  • If your instruments support unidirectional interface protocol, this software can work with any protocol or transmitted format. I think it supports ALMOST EVERY unidirectional interface format.
  • In bidirectional interface protocol, this software supports download(batch) and Query mode ASTM protocol.
  • And this software is designed for end user with no knowledge of program languages(C, C++, Pascal, Basic, etc), Even if you don't have experience for program languages, you can achieve instrument's interface in one day. 

2. System Requirements

  • Windows 95 or Windows 98, Windows 2000
  • At least Pentium 200 MHz is recommended.
  • At least 16Mb of RAM is recommended.
  • 1024 x 768 resolution

 

3. Download Yeungnam Interfacer.

  • This software requires BDE and ODBC 3.xx., you must install BDE and ODBC 3.xx before running Yeungnam Interfacer.

  •  prefix specimen ID included : if you want this software as stand-alone and instrument send previous specimen id tested at yesterday or other day,  you set prefix specimen ID as(0101 or 0102..).
  • This version requires "Yeungnam.ini" file in main execute file directory(Yeungnam.exe, YnConfig.exe).
  • This version is not compatible to previous version in database structure, so if you want to use previous database configure, send \YnConfig subdirectory files to me, I will resend modified files to you.

  • DDE(Dynamic Data Exchange) : If Yeungnam Interfacer is setting Host Communication as "Text File", Specimen ID is transmitted to another application with DDE in Specimen ID requiring condition such as "when Specimen ID is input at ASTM download Mode" or " when results are received from instrument but no Specimen ID at specimen information tables" .
  • Filtering and Additional Tests. : In our hospital, we estimate same tests in different instruments with single specimen ID(AxSym and Elecsys 2010) according patient group, If you filter these items(ex.HBsAg and anti-HBs for Elecsys 2010 and AFP for Axsym), these tests is filtered according instruments.(popup menu in worklist and test resultlist)
