Connection with Oracle 8i

1. Install Oracle 8i client tools.

2. Execute "Microsoft ODBC Administrator" to set ODBC driver for your hospital situation. Example(at our hospital)

2.1. Select "Oracle ODBC Driver" to connect with oracle.

          2.2. Setup your Oracle DSN and Data Source.

 

          2.3. Save  your Oracle ODBC Config.

3. execute oracle Net8 Easy Config

        3.1. Set Service Name and press "Next" button.

       

        3.2. Select your hospital networking protocol.

        3.3. Specify  your host name where the database is located and your port number.

        3.4. Specify your Database SID which must be same as Service Name in ODBC Setting.

        3.5. Press Test Service if you want to test , or Press "Next" button.        

       

       3.6. Save your service name by pressing "Finish" button.
